Biography
Salih campaigned in Egypt to allow women to serve as Mufti.
In 2007, she issued fatwas on the case of Hend Farghali, an 11-year-old girl victim of rape forced to carry out her pregnancy, · which rocked the Egyptian public opinion. In March 2010, she opposed a bill to legalised abortion and sterilisation of women whose health or finances are incompatible with having children.
In January 2016, on Al Hayat TV, she stated that Islamic law allows Muslims to rape non-Muslim female prisoners of war .
