Streetball Kosova

Streetball Kosova is a traditional streetball tournament since Year 2000, organised in the amphitheatre of the swimming pool in Germia Park, Pristina, Kosovo. Streetball Kosova 2014 was the 15th edition in a row without any break.

The interest for the games was very big on these years, hundred teams and thousands of players participated in the last 13 editions. The teams were mixed and of different ages. The games were viewed by a large number of people. The Audience and the players were motivated and entertained by a Hip-Hop DJ. Also many important personalities from the sports and day life visited the tournaments.

Most of the participants are the children and the youth of Kosovo, who represent more than 70% of the population, but there are senior and international participants living in Kosovo, too. Beside the main competition 3on3, there will be as well competitions in Dunking and Shoot 5.

The focus of this tournament is to make streetball attractive to the young population and reduce violence and crime among them. It is in accordance with the efforts to prosper in sport and social activities, too.

Streetball Kosova 2005, was the first tournament ever to be organised in the seven major cities of Kosovo.

Streetball Kosova 2006, was the first tournament ever to participate in the Streetball World Championship in New York City, USA.

In 2009 StreetballKosova participated for the first time in the Prague international Streetball Cup, Czech Republic. Team Akull Kosova represented the Streetball Kosova in PIS 2010 and won the 3rd Place among many competitors from Czech Republic and abroad.

Streetball Kosova 2012, held on June 9 & 10, applied for the first time FIBA 3x3 rules. The tournament was divided in 3 competing categories; Senior Male, Senior Female and Junior's. Team Kujta won the tournament in the Senior class.

Streetball Kosova 2013, held on September 28 & 29 at the city-center, applied again FIBA 3x3 rules. The tournament was divided in 3 competing categories; Senior Male, Senior Female and Junior's. In Memory of our valued partner, MVP of tournament was prized with the "Genc Dushi" award.

Sports4all is a non-government organization with members supporting the streetball tournaments in Kosovo for more than 12 years and as well joining similar championships all over the world. In August 2010, Sports4all organized the first international streetball tournament in Kosovo with more than 12 Nations, Streetball Europe. Again in 2011, on September 10&11, participants from Albania, Croatia, Kosovo, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia competed at the second edition of Streetball Europe. Team from Croatia (Split) won the tournament in very competitive games.
