Cancer Fundraising

He made a trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in June 2009 to raise money for The Anthony Nolan Trust which is a charity focusing on leukaemia and bone marrow transplant. He is a long supporter of the trust and first got involved when he met cancer sufferer (Johanna MacVicar) while working at Motherwell FC in 2005. He does this as "I can help spread the message and encourage others to support the charity's work" and since the death of Tommy Burns, it gave him an extra incentive to complete the trek.
