Career

Moakler was originally born in New Jersey but moved to Pittsburgh when he was four years old. Since then he's lived in different places, but as music called to him, Nashville was a definite career choice move. Moakler has written songs for numerous country artists. He has released three full-length albums, All the Faint Lights, Watching Time Run, and Wide Open. Along with three full-length albums, he released a mix tape of various songs in 2015. He co-wrote Dierks Bentley's 2015 single "Riser". Also, his music has been recorded by esteemed artists such as Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, Kellie Picker, Ben Rector and Matt Wertz, and Moakler has had music featured on a variety of national commercials and networks including MTV, FOX and ABC, and has had songs featured on the motion picture, "October Baby."

In December 2015, Moakler obtained a management deal with Creative Nation based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Moakler joined Dan + Shay on select dates of their 2016 tour.

Moakler attended Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, for 2 years, but dropped out for the music gig. He has since been rocking out on his tour, featuring on different songs for artists, and living in Nashville with his family, including Gracie Moakler, and has several artist friends there as well, including Ben Rector, Matt Wertz, Andrew Ripp, and many others. Steve is a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and has pride for his home state as demonstrated in his song "Steel Town."
