Stephen "Steve" James Handley (born 28 June 1956) is an Australian former national champion and Olympic-level rower. He is a board member of the New South Wales Rowing Association and a state rowing selector. From 2009 until 2014 he was Club Captain of Sydney Rowing Club and is currently Vice-President.

Stephen has also coached rowing at Sydney Rowing Club, Newington College, St Joseph's Colleges and The Kings School with success at state and national championships and at the head of the river regatta.
Stephen is a Director and co-founder of Telecommunications Engineering company ATI Australia Pty Limited and its wholly owned subsidiaries ATI Telecom Pty Ltd and InHouse Energy.

Rowing career
Handley commenced rowing whilst a student at Newington College (1969–1974) and has since rowed at Sydney Rowing Club. In 1974 Handley won a NSW state title in the Youth four, won the Australian Schoolboy four Championship and represented NSW in the Colts Eight (U23) in a tour to New Zealand. He has won numerous State Championships (including the Champion VIII of NSW five times for Sydney Rowing club) and Australian Championships in the coxed pair, coxed four and eights. Between 1974 and 1980, he won 13 National Championships and two Kings Cups. He represented Australia in the World Rowing Championships in 1977 (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and again in 1978 (Lake Karapiro, New Zealand). In 1980, he was in the Australian eight at the Moscow Olympics and the crew came 5th. Since retiring from competitive rowing, Handley has coached schoolboys at Newington, Kings and St Josephs.
