Steve “LiQuiD112” Arhancet started off his competitive gaming career through the Turn-Based Strategy, Civilization IV. In the game, Arhancet owned a competitive team, called Team XXX. In 2011, Arhancet became interested in League of Legends shortly after the launch of the game. Arhancet then expanded Team XXX to League of Legends, in which he was a support player for. Arhancets first tournament was the first season of the National ESL Premier League, but in the group stages, his team was absorbed by unRestricted eSports. On August 25, 2011 Curse Inc. signed the entire unRestricted roster including present day professional players such as Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, and Eugene “Pobelter” Park. After playing on the roster for a short amount of time, Arhancet stepped down as a player, with Cody "Elementz" Sigfusson to take his place. Arhancet then took the role Director of eSports for Curse Gaming, becoming the manager for the team.
In March 2014, Steve parted ways with Curse Inc. and formed his own company, Competitive eSports, while still retaining the Curse branding. On January 6 2015, Team Curse merged with Team Liquid and Arhancet became co-owner of Team Liquid alongside the original owner, Victor "Nazgul" Goossens. On September 27, 2016 Team Liquid was bought by aXiomatic, owned by Peter Guber and Ted Leonsis, although Team Liquid retained their name for branding purposes. Arhancet kept his position of co-CEO for Team Liquid, as well as started serving as a director for aXiomatic.
