  • Company history

Sterling Sports Management, LLC (“Sterling Sports”) had its genesis as the natural outgrowth of Campbell, Hornbeck, Chilcoat & Veatch LLC, a Columbus, Ohio law firm. Building on its experience as a business law practice, the law firm began representing many athletes in several different sports. The significant increase in the number of the law firm’s sports clients over the last several years provided the opportunity to establish a separate sports agency, while maintaining the affiliation with a law firm. The association with Campbell, Hornbeck, Chilcoat & Veatch LLC permits Sterling Sports to provide legal services and resources in areas such as corporation law, tax law, estate planning, litigation and real estate through the law firm.

Sterling Sports is directed by Jeff Chilcoat, President of Sterling Sports and a Member of Campbell Hornbeck Chilcoat & Veatch LLC. Jeff has represented athletes for a number of years in player contract negotiations, endorsement agreements, media arrangements, marketing, public relations, and tax planning. The company agreed to acquire Dallas-based Orasi Sports in 2013.
