Stephen Bienko (born February 24, 1979) is an American entrepreneur, businessperson and philanthropist. He is best known as Founding Director of the Institute of Athletic Performance, the largest owner of the College Hunks Hauling Junk brand , Olympic gold medalist trainer, and eight-year Villanova University discus throw record holder.

Early life

Bienko grew up on a small farm in Northern New Jersey. He attended the United States Air Force Academy and was a member of its football team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Villanova University, Pennsylvania. He competed as a decathlete for Villanova University and held the school record in the discus at 172’ 11” (52.71m) from 1998 - 2005.

He was also a three-sport star during High School at the Delbarton School in Morristown, New Jersey; he graduated in 1994.
Bienko began his professional career in the New Jersey State Police. He has held positions as Director of Marketing at Kennedy Funding, Inc.; a State Trooper with the NJ State Police working in the Alcoholic Beverage Control Special Task Force Unit; Senior Vice President at SequentialT; and a position with the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. He has also owned a variety of health clubs in America.
He was also a Director of Advanced Loan Servicing LLC, supervising the loan portfolio management team, a Founding Director of the Institute of Athletic Performance (IAP) and a Director of Communications at Doyle Management Group.
Sporting ventures
For two full years, he marketed the 2008 Summer Olympics gold medalist in the Decathlon, Bryan Clay. He trained hundreds of professional athletes in all sports during the athletes’ high school years. This resulted in almost 50 of them progressing to play for Ivy League institutions. He founded the Institute of Athletic Performance training over one hundred NFL, MLB, NBA, Division I and professional track and field athletes throughout their careers including former New York Giant Sean O'Hara, former New Jersey Net Kerry Kittles and Olympic gold medalist Bryan Clay.
Acclaim
Bienko was named to Gulfshore Business magazine's "40 Under 40" Business Leaders, and is a member of the NJBIZ Forty Under 40. He was named Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association for his work with College Hunks Hauling Junk and was honored as Man of the Year by Habitat for Humanity. In addition, he has been featured on AMC, Bloomberg TV, BRAVO, Fox Business, Fox News, Luxury Life Magazine, NJ Monthly Magazine, NJ Star Ledger, Wall Street Journal and The Tennessean.
Personal life
Bienko lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children. He is 6' 4" and weighs 200 pounds.
Bienko serves on the Board of Directors for the PACE School for Girls and Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida. He is also a member of the Advisory Council for Turning Point USA. Stephen also sits on the Academy Review Board for U.S. Representative Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ).
