Stephen Anthony Bailey (born August 17, 1987) is an American film, television and stage actor.

Biography

Bailey was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. He began taking drama classes at Andrew Jackson Middle School leading him to continue studying the arts throughout high school. He attended South Bend's James Whitcomb Riley High School, class of 2006. After graduation he decided to take a year off to work odd jobs and save money. The next year he enrolled in the theater department of Indiana University South Bend.

Career

After leaving IUSB, Bailey started doing as many plays and films as possible. He worked on shows at South Bend Civic Theater, Elkhart Civic Theater, and New World Arts Theater. He began doing stand-up comedy, taking acting classes and doing background work for films and TV shows filming in Chicago. He purchased a camera and began directing his own short films and posting them to YouTube.

Bailey was cast in many student films and short films as well as small regional commercials. He was also cast in three feature films. Dark Threads, where he played Rupert, a violently drunk and jealous boyfriend, Harvey Putter, a spoof of the Harry Potter series directed by Timothy Alan Richardson and Freight, a dark thriller casting him as an abusive and suicidal young man, which has yet to be released.

In 2011, Bailey went to Chicago, IL for three days to film on the pilot episode of The Playboy Club for NBC. His scene was as a featured dancer to be wooed by Amber Heard during a jazzy waltz. He then moved to Los Angeles and began a small film production company, Unlimited Destiny Productions with his friend JaySin Matlock. In 2013 he joined SAG-AFTRA. Shortly after he landed a role on the hit CBS sci-fi drama, Extant (TV series) starring Halle Berry. He also booked a number of other feature films such as Deadly Crush playing a younger characterization of William Sadler (actor), Rebirth, Basement, and Until Forever, the Michael Boyum story.
