The Steinfeld Trophy is the trophy given annually to the winners of the Major League Lacrosse championship. The trophy is contested via a 4-team playoff where the top teams (based on regular season record) compete in a single-elimination format during Championship Weekend. Championship Weekend is currently presented by Smartlink and culminates in the awarding of the Steinfeld Trophy. The award is named after MLL founder Jake Steinfeld. Since the league's inception, the championship has been played at a pre-designated neutral location.
