Star Wheel Press are an indie/folk/pop band from Aberfeldy, Scotland. They were formed in 2010 when guitarist/banjo player Craig Milton met singer and lyricist Ryan Hannigan at a gig by Edinburgh indie pop band Aberfeldy in the town they're named after.

To date, they have released a single album, the Life Cycle of a Falling Bird in 2011, which was that year's biggest selling album in Avalanche Records in Edinburgh that after extensive patronage by the shop's management and renowned crime novellist Ian Rankin.

Airplay and Press Coverage

Their first significant piece of radio airplay came courtesy of Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music with other DJs on the station and a number of presenters on BBC Radio Scotland such as Vic Galloway, Ricky Ross and Tom Morton also offering their patronage.

Media coverage has been led by Radar, the new music blog of the Scotsman newspaper who have featured them on several occasions, with others such as Is This Music? and God is in the TV also featuring them.

Print coverage includes The Spectator and the Perthshire Advertiser.

Live Shows

Key gigs have included the Southern Fried Festival in Perth with Samantha Crain, support slots with The Blind Boys of Alabama, Lyle Lovett, 2011's Aberfeldy Festival alongside James Yorkston and Admiral Fallow and a headline show at Edinburgh's Wee Red Bar in September 2011 with support from French Wives.
