The Star Awards for Young Talent is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994.

Contents

The category was introduced in 2002, at the 9th Star Awards ceremony; Shawn Lee received the award for his role in I Not Stupid and it is given in honour of a young talent who has delivered an outstanding performance in a drama series. The nominees are determined by a team of judges employed by Mediacorp; winners are selected by a majority vote from the entire judging panel.

Since its inception, the award has been given to ten young talents. Damien Teo is the most recent winner in this category for his role in The Dream Makers II. Since the ceremony held in 2011, Regene Lim remains as the only young talent to win in this category thrice, surpassing Damien Teo & Oh who have two wins each. In addition, Jarren Ho has been nominated on four occasions, more than any other young talent. He also holds the record for the most nominations without a win.
