According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 33.9 square miles (87.7 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 715 people, 247 households, and 196 families residing in the town. The population density was 21.1 people per square mile (8.2/km²). There were 257 housing units at an average density of 7.6 per square mile (2.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.90% White, 0.56% Asian, 0.56% from other races, and 0.98% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.52% of the population.
There were 247 households out of which 40.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.4% were married couples living together, 6.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.6% were non-families. 14.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.89 and the average family size was 3.20.
