Stanley Gareld Ellis (born January 22, 1947) has been a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since 2006.

Biography
Ellis graduated from Harvard University in government and received a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He worked in law and finance and later became chief executive officer of a financial consulting company.
Ellis served previously in the church as a full-time missionary in the Brazilian Mission, as president of the Brazil Sao Paulo North Mission (1999–2002), stake president, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, elders quorum president, and ward and stake Young Men president.
Ellis was serving as an area seventy when he was appointed a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy of the LDS Church on April 1, 2006. He served from 2006 to 2010 as a counselor in the church's Brazil North and Brazil areas. He was transferred to the First Quorum of the Seventy on March 31, 2012 and since 2014 has served as a counselor in the church's Africa Southeast Area.
On June 7, 1969, Ellis married Kathryn Kloepfer in the Los Angeles Temple and they are the parents of nine children.
