St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology is one of the renowned engineering colleges uner WBUT located at Kidderpore, in Kolkata, India. Initially under Kalyani University, it is now affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly West Bengal University of Technology WBUT), Kolkata. The campus also houses the St Thomas School, Kolkata and St. Stephen's Church. It is mainly known for its strict rules and enormous fines.

It is known for its excellent performance in the university and has been the frontrunner in producing top rankers. Some of the students are now highly acclaimed and established being in prestigious Govt organizations like ISRO, BARC as Scientists and reputed Institutes like MIT, University of New Jersey, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and IITs and IIMs, IMS Ghaziabad for higher education. The college has produced students who are professionally well placed across the globe in some of the leading MNCs like Intel, Microsoft, Qualcom, Ericsson, Siemens and leading PSUs lin India some of which are SAIL, BHEL, NTPC etc.

Courses offered

The institute offers one undergraduate course (B. Tech.). All courses are approved by the West Bengal University of Technology, WBUT, the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE, Government of India and the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal.The institute offers undergraduate B. Tech. course in the following engineering disciplines:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • information technology
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Besides these the college also offers Boys' Common Room and Girls' Common Room facility, and merit cum means scholarship to its students.
