St. Mary’s High School SSC is a minority Catholic institution founded by the Society of Jesus in 1864 at Mazgaon, Mumbai, India. In 1933 it split off from ICSE on the same premises, with separate buildings and staff, English teaching (S.S.C.) and Anglo-Indian (St. Mary's School I.C.S.E).

History

St. Mary's School lies adjacent to St. Anne's Church which was established in 1860. The school was founded to serve military orphans, but then opened to the Catholic populace in general. It is now open to students of all castes, races, and religions.

Activities

Extra-curriculum activities include chess, craft, painting, competitions in elocution, singing, dance, drama at the school and inter-school level.
