St. Jude Church Karanakodam is the one of the Syro Malabar Catholic parish Church in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. It is a part of Ernakulum – Angamali Arch Diocese. It is Situated Midway between Kathrikkadavu Junction and Thammanam Junction in the Thammanam Pullepady Road.

History

In 1970 his Holiness cardinal Joseph Parecattil decided to establish a new Syrian Catholic church at Karanakodam and ear marked 2 acres of land, and entrusted the responsibility to the then Procurator Rev Fr Francis Thachil to build the church. The auxiliary bishops Mar Sebastian Mankuzhikary laid the foundation stone for the church. Under the leadership of Fr, Francis Thachil the church was constructed, and on 28th February 1971, his Holiness Cardinal Joseph Parecattil, Blessed and dedicated it, in the name of St Jude, the disciple of our lord Jesus Christ.
