St John of God Wellington is owned and operated by the not-for-profit St John of God Hauora Trust, which is a division of St John of God Health Care, one of the largest health care providers in Australasia.

St John of God Wellington offers long-term residential support for physically disabled adults between the ages of 18 and 65.

The facility is located in the Wellington suburb of Karori, situated on New Zealand’s North Island. Formally known as Maddison, it was acquired by St John of God Hauora Trust on 1 February 2010.

Facilities

St John of God Wellington is a residential facility, housing 36 beds, communal living areas, library & card room and other leisure areas.

Services

Where necessary, residents receive 24-hour nursing care and support with personal hygiene, provided by a Registered Nurse and clinical team.

The facility also provides a “Lifestyle Coordinator”, responsible for organising on and off-site activities, such as library visits, shopping excursions, exercise classes and social gatherings.

Other resident services provided by St John of God Wellington include the provision of some medical supplies, meals & specialised feeding requirements, laundry & clothing maintenance and cleaning services & supplies.
