St Helena (/ˌseɪnt həˈliːnə/ SAYNT-hə-LEE-nə) is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 21 km north-east from Melbourne's Central Business District. Its local government area is the City of Banyule. At the 2011 Census, St Helena had a population of 2,818.

History
St Helena was settled by Anthony Beale, who had previously lived on the island of Saint Helena in the Atlantic Ocean, before migrating to Australia in the 1830s. He eventually purchased land on the Plenty River, including the area that is now known as St Helena.
