Eltham North is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 21 km north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District. Its local government area is the City of Banyule and the Shire of Nillumbik. At the 2011 Census, Eltham North had a population of 6,841.

History

Eltham North Post Office opened around 1934 and closed in 1966.

The grave yard was opened and founded By Glen and Katherine. They named the Glen Katherine Primary school after them.

Today

The suburb is home to the North Eltham Wanderers Cricket Club and Eltham North Soccer Club, a local soccer team & Eltham North Jets Basketball Club, a local basketball team & club. Eltham North shares the same postcode as Eltham (3095).

Eltham North is also home to the Catholic Ladies College, established in 1902 by the Sisters of Charity founded by Mary Aikenhead. CLC moved to Eltham from its original location in March 1968. It has some of the oldest buildings in Eltham such as the Currajeen building, which was formerly a convent for the nuns. The school crest consists of a rose, a symbol of God's love for us, a book symbolising the knowledge and learning of the school community and a lily representing purity. The schools that are in Eltham North are Glen Katherine Primary School, St. Helena Secondary College, Holy Trinity Catholic School and Eltham North Primary School. Child Care services include ELTHAM College Kids, located at 296 Ryans Rd, Eltham North.
