History

The church was built in stages from 1878 through to 1932, as funds became progressively available. The building was originally designed by architect Andrea Stombuco and included plans for a tower and spire (which were never realised). Other architects H.W.K. Martin and William A. Caldwell were involved with later stages of the project.

In 1887, architect John H. Buckeridge designed the rectory for St Andrew’s Church and also extensions to it in 1892. The rectory has now been relocated to 112 Airlie Road, Pullenvale and is used as a private home.

Heritage listing

The church was listed on the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.
