Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya

The Speaker is the presiding officer of the Kenyan National Assembly. From 1963-2013 the National Assembly was the unicameral body of the Kenyan Parliament.

Qualifications

The speaker is elected by the Assembly from among persons or are qualified to be members of the Assembly. The Speaker's term ends once a new parliament is re-convened after dissolution.
