Souvenir Henri Desgrange

The Souvenir Henri Desgrange is an award and cash prize, since 1947, in the Tour de France cycle race. It is named in honour of the creator of the Tour de France, first race director and French sports journalist Henri Desgrange and is given to the first rider to reach the either the Col du Galibier, where Desgrange's monument stands, or the highest climb of the Tour.
