Higher Education

The Bill J. Priest Institute for Economic Development, a campus of El Centro College of the Dallas County Community College District, is located in a brick campus in Old South Dallas. Jim Schutze of the Dallas Observer described the building as "handsome."
Entertainment
South Dallas is home to Fair Park, a 277-acre (1.12 km2) recreational and educational complex located in Dallas, Texas (USA). The complex is registered as a Dallas Landmark, National Historic Landmark and is home to the annual State Fair of Texas, nine museums, six performance facilities, a lagoon, and the largest Ferris wheel in North America.
Transportation
Several thoroughfares, DART bus service, and DART light rail exist in South Dallas.
