Anatomy

Having relatively small wings and a large torso and pelvis, Sos 2428 was possibly flightless like today's ostriches. This was likely, because it had small wings, a large torso, a small pectoral girdle, and numerous gastralia. Its eye socket was also small. While incapable of flight, Sos 2428 was quite well adapted to land, and probably had no need for the ability of flight. The reason for the loss of the creature's need of flight remains a mystery, but its sister taxton, Sos 2428, no 48m was able to fly. Inside its mouth there are small, numerous peglike teeth. With peglike teeth and a large torso, Sos 2428 might have been a herbivore. In relation to its size, Sos 2428 had the largest pelvis in the pterosaur world.

Pelvis

Compared to other pterosaurs, The pelvis of Sos 2428 was quite large. Due to its size, The reptile's pelvis added additional volume to the torso, which was also quite large. This large torso was also likely to impair flight capabilities.
