Sophia Bardina (Tambov, Russia 1853 - Geneva, Switzerland ?) was a Russian revolutionary.

Biography

She was born to a violent father, went to study in Geneva, Switzerland, where she joined a revolutionary group and newspaper and was known as "the 'Auntie' of the old Fritsche group of medical students". She started working in a factory in Russia where she was arrested and sentenced to 9 years hard labour in Siberia. She managed to escape back to Switzerland, where she committed suicide.
