Geography

The village lies on the right bank of the Briance, which flows westward through the commune.

Inhabitants are known as Solignacois.

Personnalitie

  • Jean-Joseph Sanfourche, known as "Sanfourche" (1929-2010), a French painter and poet, lived in Solignac before settling in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat.
