History

Peter Harrison was named chief executive officer of Snagajob in April 2013 and sits on the company's Board of Directors. Prior to Harrison, Snagajob was led by its founder and chairman of the board, Shawn Boyer. Boyer served as Snagajob’s CEO from the website's launch on October 17, 1999, to 2013; leading the company from a start-up to national employment network. Boyer was named America's Small Business Person of the year in 2008 by the Small Business Administration.

Snagajob is privately held and has raised over $141 million from investors including Adams Street Partners, Baird Venture Partners, C&B Capital, Rho Acceleration and August Capital.

In 2011, Snagajob was named the best small business to work for by the Great Place to Work Institute. Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell visited Snagajob headquarters the day of the announcement to offer his congratulations.

As of December 2016, Snagajob had more than 75 million members registered on its platform and was present at over 300,000 customer locations.
