Recognition

The Institute conducts MBA two year full-time course. The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), Directorate of Technical Education(DTE) and Government of Maharashtra. It is affiliated to Pune University for MBA and Ph.D. in Management.

To develop competent young managers with necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to function effectively in managerial/ administrative positions in business, industry, public system and government.

About Samstha

The Samstha was started by Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1896 as the Hindu Widows Home Association. Its purpose was to educate widows to make themselves self-reliant. Later, the Samstha diversified its activities in tune with the needs of the society.It has established schools and colleges, hostel for students and working women, it offers comprehensive training centres for women in fields such as teaching, catering, technical training, nursing, bakery etc. Its units are spread in places like Pune, Satara, Wai and Ratnagiri.

Women's study and research centre

In the era of globalization the institute has given professional approach to women's education. Samstha's Women's Study Centre also contributes to HNIMR to fulfill its objectives and gives privileges to students who participate in minor social research projects related to women's issues, for example effective communication in the workplace, problems of working women, women and law, etc. The centre is recognized by the University of Pune to conduct several research projects. Personality development camps, entrepreneurship development program, career counseling, health awareness campaign, psychometric evaluation and such other activities are conducted for the overall understanding and development of students on the campus.

Karvenagar Campus

MKSSS campus is green, well-maintained and well-equipped with facilities like medical centre, gymnasium, post-office, stationery store, banks, 24-hours security, hostels, Dhyan Mandir, reprographic facilities, canteen etc.

Institutional building: The Institute has a robust infrastructure comprising classrooms, seminar rooms, conference rooms, tutorial rooms, auditorium, training and placement cell, research cell, women’s study centre, library, reading room, comp. lab’s, girls’ room, indoor games room, counselling room, recreation, sick room etc.

The Library

The main objective of HNIMR Library is to provide open access facility and information related services to its users. The library actively supports the activities of research. An encyclopedic collection of over 7748 books along with a subscription to over 68 national and international journals and also 74 e-journals offer the students a whole reading gamut of their choice, thus helping them acquire knowledge on a wide range of topics. As ideas begin to take shape here, Innovation gets intrinsically reared. Library is fully computerized and all the books are bar coded. With network facilities, the bibliographic details of all library documents (print & non-print) can be accessed through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) and also reservations can be placed on documents of choice. Library has also subscribed to e-resources under the INDEST-AICTE Consortium. Under this consortium users can access around 74 titles related to management from any of the workstations available in the institute. Library is also equipped with photocopier scanner and other multimedia facilities. Special reading facility is provided to faculty and research students through separate cubicles. There is a separate reading hall for students.

Computer Lab

The state of art hub of the institute possesses round the clock facility with the latest hardware, software and networking solutions. It is well equipped to train the management / computer students in computer programming for business application. Here, learning acquires the implementation mode, and students come close to practicality.

Conference Room

The institute has an air-conditioned Conference Room on the ground floor. it has the seating capacity of 35 participants with up-to-date audio visual equipments.

Seminar Hall

It is imperitative to bring students face to face with the industrial developments and requirements, so that they are shaped for the future. A 120-seated seminar hall with modular furniture serves this purpose. Leading professionals from the corporate world conduct regular workshops and impart value added knowledge. These activities are a regular feature of the Institute.

Lecture Rooms

The Institute has well planned lecture halls and syndicate rooms. The halls are airy and well lit. Each hall has the latest audio - visual teaching aids like OHPs, computer, LCD/DLP projectors, speakers etc.

Auditorium

To sharpen the students competitive edge, the auditorium is extensively used for seminar, symposia and guest lectures. It is fully equipped with the latest audio, video and public address systems.

Hostel

About 50 seats are available for MBA girls in Baya Karve Hostel complex on the campus. The 3-seated hostel rooms provide comfortable beds, cupboards, writing tables, adequate lighting, fans etc. The hostels have vegetarian mess-3 in nos. Hostilities are free to join any one of their choice. The hostels have facilities like common washing machines, 24-hours hot water with solar energy, ironing, indoor games, recreation halls with TV sets, PCO/STD booths, guest rooms for parents and a gym. 24 hours security is provided. Medical services are available by way of a resident doctor, nurses and a sick room. Dorm-representatives and matrons meet regularly to sort out difficulties, if any.

Canteen

‘Susvad’canteen located on the campus, run by institutes’ sister unit Sampada Bakery. It provides snacks, bakery products, wholesome meals and, tea, coffee, cold-drinks, ice-cream buttermilk etc. Special care is taken to maintain hygienic environment, balanced diet and reasonable rates.

Gymnasium

Physical fitness is given equal importance for a sound mind resides in a sound body. The Samstha has a playground with facilities for jogging, cricket, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho etc. The campus also has a Dhyan Mandir, for meditation purposes. The Tejeswini Gym housed in the hostel premises provides all the modern fitness equipments. It also provides training in aerobics and yoga. The Institute’s building provides facilities for indoor games like carom, chess and table-tennis, gym etc.

Sports

The premise provides sports facilities like T.T., Carom, Chess and Badminton. Sports ground has facilities for team games and athletics. Sports reduce stress and ensure fitness, which is much needed for managerial careers.
