Smail Prevljak (born 10 May 1995) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Austrian Bundesliga club Mattersburg and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Early career

As a youth, he played for Igman Konjic and RB Leipzig. He was part of the RB Leipzig team that achieved promotion to the Under 19 Bundesliga for the 2014–15 season.
RB Leipzig

After impressing in pre-season, he was signed for a two-year contract by RB Leipzig on 1 July 2014 alongside former youth teammate Patrick Strauß. He made his professional debut on 2 August 2014, in a 0–0 draw against VfR Aalen.
Red Bull Salzburg
He was loaned to Red Bull Salzburg in August 2014, before directly being loaned out to Liefering for the 2014–15 season. He managed though to make a debut for them in November 2014, in a match against Altach. His move to Red Bull Salzburg was made permanent for the 2015–16 season. He scored his first goal against Austria Wien on 23 August 2015. Prevljak tore his anterior cruciate ligament in April 2016.
Liefering

On 1 September 2014, he was loaned out to Liefering. He made his debut in a 5–2 loss against Austria Lustenau on 26 September 2014. He scored his first goal for the club, in a 4–1 win against Wacker Innsbruck on 3 October 2014. On 27 May 2015, Prevljak was voted the best young player of the season in the Erste Liga.
Mattersburg

Prevljak was loaned to Mattersburg in June 2017. He scored on his debut in a cup game, which Mattersburg won 6–1 against Saalfelden. He also scored on his league debut, in a 2–2 draw against Rapid Wien.
International career
Prevljak made his debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina under-21 on 27 March 2015 in a friendly match against the United States under-23 team in Tuzla.
