Slađana Velkov (Serbian Cyrilic: Слађана Велков) is a controversial Serbian physician. She is known for her claims that vaccines are harmful, that MMR vaccine causes autism, and that conventional medicine does more harm than good. She advocates a raw vegan diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, exercise, spending time in nature, sungazing, barefoot walking and coffee enemas. Velkov believes that most modern day diseases are a result of a poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, lack of sunshine and vaccination.

Early life and education

Velkov was born in Skopje, Macedonia. She grew up in Serbia. She studied medicine in Niš, and graduated in Skopje.
Career

Velkov is currently unemployed and therefore doesn't have a license granted by Serbian Medical Association (Српско лекарско друштво). In the past, she worked as a medical doctor in Serbia, Macedonia and Kuwait.
Controversy

Velkov is often described as a pseudoscientist and her recommendations are often regarded as ineffective, bizarre and potentially dangerous.
