Jumping spider sitticus floricola jumps and close look animalia kingdom show
Sitticus floricola is a species of jumping spider that can be found in Scotland and other parts of the United Kingdom. They are typically 4–4.5 millimetres (0.16–0.18 in) in length. Females are dark reddish brown, with an almost black anterior.

Habitat and ecology

The species live in bogs, marshes,fen and meadows, on the heads of plants like Eriophorum vaginatum (cotton grass) or similar, on which they occasionally spin their cocoons. They can be found from March to September.
