Sitaram Yadav (born 5 January 1946) was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Sitamarhi constituency of Bihar as a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) political party.

EARLY life

Yadav was born in SITAMARHI (Nayatol), Bihar. His father's name late Raghunandan Gope and mother's name late Sundarwati Devi. He is the 1st of his parent's five sons.He studied Bachelor of Laws and B.Ed from Bihar University,MUZAFFARPUR. After graduation, he got a job as Teacher in Middle School in Madhubani.

Political career

He was elected in 1970 as Mukhiya of the Nayatol Panchayat. He was elected as Block Parmukh of Nanpur Block in 1978. He was elected for MLA as candidate of Janta Dal from Pupri Constituency in 1990.He served as the Chairman of Bihar State Police building construction corporation from 1991-1996. He was re-elected for MLA in 1995 as a candidate of Janta Dal from Pupri Constituency. He was elected to Lok Sabha from Sitamarhi Constituency as a candidate of RJD in 1998. He was re-elected for MLA in 2000 as a candidate of

from Pupri Constituency.He was sworn-in as Cabinate Minister on 4 April 2000 and got Minister of Information and PRD department under Smt.Rabri Devi government. He was re-elected to Lok Sabha from Sitamarhi (Bihar) Constituency as a candidate of RJD in 2004.
