Reception

Sisyphus received generally favorable reviews from critics. Metacritic gave the album a score of 64/100, based on 17 reviews.

Sammy Maine of Drowned in Sound felt that "Sisyphus is almost certainly the greatest hip-hop folk-tinged electronica with a deep techno pop groove record you'll ever hear." Paul MacInnes of The Guardian said: "Even when the fusion doesn't work, you can't help but admire the creativity."
