In the neighbourhood of this village is the temple "Mongnag," an Asthapana of Lord Mungleshwar. The temple is attended by very few Hindus living in Sirnoo and Monghama. On the side of the temple there is a spring, which is always filled with fish. Although this village is very close to the town it faces many difficulties like the inaccessible villages. The name of this village is also mentioned in the famous book on Kashmir, Raz Tarangni by Kalhan. This village also has archaeological importance. There is also a pilgrim site of Ded Mouj. In this village the Hindus and Muslims live peaceably.
