Qualifying

This episode is the first episode of Singer2017. It was recorded on January 10, 2017, and premiered on January 21, 2017 at 10:30 p.m. Beijing time on Hunan Television. The lowest ranking of the 8 singers will be directly eliminated. Tia Ray originally came in last and was hence due to be eliminated, but remained in the competition as a result of since Hins Cheung's disqualification. All remaining 7 singers were directly promoted to the next episode. The order of performance of this episode is decided by the audience, who voted for the song they anticipated the most. The singers are subsequently allowed to discuss and rearrange their performance sequence.

Knockout

Diamond Zhang also joins the competition, as the third challenge singer, at last she gets No.8, and is originally eliminated, however due to Tan Jing's withdrawal, she remains in the competition.
