Overview

The Singapore Art Show is a platform for both established and up-and-coming Singaporean visual artists to showcase their artworks. It also serves as an avenue for public appreciation of the diverse visual arts practices found in the country.

It showcases artwork from various genres and medium by Singapore artists. Simultaneously, the show engages the visual arts community through outreach components, public art, platforms for the discovery of new talents, and awards.

Integration with the Singapore Biennale

The Singapore Art Show is part of a framework of two bi-annual visual arts platforms which together provide a diverse showcase of visual arts in the country. The other event is the Singapore Biennale which develops and presents South-east Asian and Asian contemporary art in the international scene.

These two biennials are organised on alternate years.
