Politics

From 1993 to 1997 he was the MLA for Edmonton Roper. He joined the Alberta Liberal Party under Laurence Decore's leadership. In the 1993 Alberta general election he defeated incumbent Christie Mjolsness to win his seat. Chadi represented his caucus on a number of the Legislature's economic development, public accounts and treasury committees.

He ran for the Alberta Liberal Party leadership in 1994 when Laurence Decore stepped down. Grant Mitchell won that hotly contested party leadership race in 1994.
