The Sindhudesh Liberation Army (Also Known as Sindh Liberation Army or SLA) is an organization based in the Sindh province of Pakistan comparable to the Balochistan Liberation Army in terms of is objectives strives to establish an independent state of Sindhu Desh. The Sindhudesh Liberation Army became publicly known during the 2010, after it claimed bomb blast on railway tracks near Hyderabad. The group is currently headed by Chief Commander Darya Khan. Pakistan's media also criticized that Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz's Chairman Mr Shafi Muhammad Burfat is operating Sindhudesh Liberation Army from Kabul.

Declaration as a terrorist organization

In different times Pakistan's electronic and print media, the official of law enforcement agencies criticized that Sindhudesh Liberation Army is a terrorist organization. Pakistan has repeatedly accused India of supporting Sindhudesh liberation Army. But in leaflets of SLA Commander Darya Khan called himself a son of soil.

Rise of Sindhi separatism

In the last two years, there has been a steady rise in low-intensity bomb explosions in parts of Sindh. Since May 2012, the group has emerged and attacked on branches of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in different districts of Sindh. Sindhudesh Liberation Army is also notorious for series of bomb blasts in same day and same time across sindh.

  • A vehicle of Chinese engineer targeted with remote control bomb at Gulshan-e-Hadeed Karachi. Chinese national and his driver were seriously injured. A few months ago, intelligence agencies had informed the Sindh home department that the Sindhu Desh Liberation Army was planning to attack Chinese nationals working on China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, power projects and other development schemes in the province.
