Early life and education
Madiraju was born in Hyderabad, India.
Career
In 2003, Madiraju wrote "Biryani and Irani chai" a collection of nine short stories and "Cafe Confuxion", a story for an animation film. Madiraju's first short film "Underground" was well received at the 2004 New York International Independent Film Festival. In 2004, Shrikar directed his first feature film, The Down Rising, which premiered at the Avalon Theatre in Washington D.C. and was well received by critics.
Madiraju is a member of the South Asian Theater Guild.

Madiraju resides in Washington D.C., USA.
