Millennial Comedy

Shots Studios has partnered and successfully helped the careers of internet comedians Hannah Stocking, Anwar Jibawi, Lele Pons and Rudy Mancuso.

In October 2015, Shots Studios launched the Awkward Puppets, an original show in partnership with comedian and internet star, Rudy Mancuso.

In 2016, Shots Studios launched YouTube channels with internet stars Lele Pons, Rudy Mancuso, Lorenzo Cromwell and Anwar Jibawi.

As of October 2016, Shots Studios channels generate over 2 million daily views with an average watch through rate of 78%.

History

Shots Studios was created in 2009 by video game creators and brothers, John Shahidi and Sam Shahidi. The company started as a mobile gaming company called RockLive and after a large investment from Justin Bieber in 2013, RockLive renamed to Shots Studios an became a digital studio.

In November 2013, Shots Studios released a social network called the Shots app. The app was removed from the App Store (iOS) in 2016.

On April 20, 2016 it was announced that Shots Studios purchased the Mindie app.

In 2016, Shots Studios launched a Multi-Channel Network (MCN) with the world’s largest digital media influencers, including Lele Pons and Rudy Mancuso to create videos and boost millions of views to their YouTube channels.

The company is backed by Justin Bieber, Floyd Mayweather, King Bach, Marlon Wayans, Omar Epps, Shervin Pishevar, WI Harper, Upfront Ventures and DCM Ventures.

Mike Tyson

After the Shahidi brothers worked on Mike Tyson's management team from 2009 - 2012, it was announced January 9, 2017 that Tyson is launching a YouTube channel with Shots Studios. The channel includes parody music videos and comedy sketches.

Twitter, Inc.

After Twitter CEO, Anthony Noto accidentally tweeted a message about an acquisition for Twitter, a source close to the company confirmed that Twitter is looking to buy Shots Studios for $150 million .

CEO, John Shahidi stated to Fox News that the company is not for sale.
