Shoreham Airshow takes place annually, in the late summer, at Shoreham Airport, West Sussex, on the south coast of England. It is organised by, and held in aid of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA).

The airshow has flying and static displays by a variety of aircraft such as fast jets, military helicopters, aerobatic aircraft, and historic aircraft. There is a variety of ground displays by organisations such as the local flying clubs and the armed forces, and of classic cars and vehicles. The show has raised more than £1.5 million for the Royal Air Forces Association over 21 years.

Following the 2015 Shoreham Airshow crash, it was announced in January 2016 that the 2016 airshow was cancelled; on 25 January 2017 it was confirmed that the 2017 airshow was also cancelled.

Shoreham Airshow Shoreham Airshow crash Safety questions raised while 39Red Arrows

  • 15 September 2007 (2007-09-15): a Second World War vintage Hawker Hurricane fighter aircraft involved in the RAFA Air Display crashed near Lancing College. The pilot, Brian Brown, was killed in the crash, the first fatality in the history of the airshow. The next year's show featured a special tribute to Brown.
  • 22 August 2010 (2010-08-22): a Swift S-1 aerobatic glider stalled during its final low-level turn to land and crashed onto the runway. The pilot suffered three broken vertebrae.
  • 22 August 2015 (2015-08-22): a Hawker Hunter aircraft crashed outside the aerodrome boundary while displaying in the 2015 air show. Eleven people were killed.
