Career

Moavenian was born in Mashhad, Iran. She started her singing career as a child, performing at TV programs for children in Khorasan, Mashhad in 1975. After she had immigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, she worked for three years at Parvaz Film (2005 _ 2008), an Iranian multicultural TV network, performing for children as a puppeteer and story teller as well as a sound effects maker.

As a female vocalist striving to create a stronger impression by using new rhythms and a new combination of traditional and modern music, her aim to sing the poems of Rumi is an innovation in Persian music.

Music

She has produced two albums so far, Molana & Shora (2008) and Molana & Shora 2 (2009). She is expected to release her third album, Molana & Shora 3, in the near future.

Her video clip "Ashegi" was shot at Tehran Metro and presented by Radiojavan.
