The Shoemaker Mile is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually as a Grade I at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California (relocated from Hollywood Park Racetrack in Inglewood, California). Inaugurated in 1938 as the Premiere Handicap, in 1990 it was renamed to honor U.S. Racing Hall of Fame jockey Bill Shoemaker.
