Japanese synonym

Two groups around the world have different beliefs about the correct name of this species. Some cite Japanese origins with the correct name being Shibataea kumasasa. Another groups refers to it as Shibataea kumasaca, the Latinized name. Taxonomic authorities have yet to settle the issue.
Description
This is an ornamental plant. It grows to approximately 7 feet, and has dark green leaves.
Distribution

Shibataea kumasaca is native to Fujian and Zhejiang provinces in China, and lives in temperate areas. It is also cultivated in Anhui, Guangdong, Jiangsu, (China), and Japan, Taiwan, United States, and in other places.
