Shekhar Dixit is a farmer leader, social activist and currently State president of Kisan Manch. Kisan Manch is a forum for farmers founded by Late Prime Minister Shri Vishwanath Pratap Singh.

Personal life
Shekhar Dikshit was born on January 20, 1984
Journey as an Activist
Shekhar Dikshit started to aware people of environmental problems and started to bring the forest tribal to mainstream when he was only 17 years old.
2002- Visited village to village in Eastern Districts of Uttar Pradesh and Seemachal of Bihar along with the then central minister Alauddin Khan
2004- Akhil Bhartiya Brahman Sabha honoured Shekhar for his concern to environment and social works. He was also appointed as president of Brahman Sabha, UP
2005- Joined the Kisan Manch at the insistence and instruction of former prime minister and patron of Kisan Manch late Vishwanath Pratap Singh. While holding the post of president of Kisan Manch, New Delhi Unit, he worked for the betterment of the slum dwellers in New Delhi.
2006- In the leadership of former Prime Minister VP Singh, he fought vigorously against acquisition of farming land in Dadri for the right of farmers
2008- VP Singh appointed him as president Kisan Manch UP.
2010- Roped in famous environmentalist while launching Ped Bacaho-Jeewan Bachao program.
2011- Established Kisan Manch and set a record of 3.50 thousand new members for Kisan Manch.
2013- Joined Anna Hazare Jan Andolan and was appointed as convener of Uttar Pradesh of the Anna’s founded Jantantra Morcha
2015-2016 Under the leadership of Shekhar Dixit, Kisan Manch has launched the laxity of government machinery towards farmer's plight in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Since then Kisan manch has been doing all sort of activities to support farmers in drought hit area of Uttar Pradesh
2016 Worked tirlessly to prepare the political ground in Uttar Pradesh for Chief Minister of Bihar and JDU Leader Shri Nitish Kumar
