Shegunashi is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. It is located in the Athani taluk of Belagavi district in Karnataka.

Demographics
As of 2001 India census, Shegunashi had a population of 5793 with 2959 males and 2834 females. One of very nice & Calm villages in Athani taluk. Famous for its sugar cane farming .Its one of the villages which is affected every year by Krishna river flood.Due to which many have now moved or migrated to new locations.
In village having some temples in this popular as Shree Mallikarjun Temple at Tammadaddi road, Shree Murughendra Swamiji Virakta Math, Shree Jadda Shiddharoodha Math, Shree Renuka temple.
Every year Yalla amavasya in that day having Renuka temple festive and Akshadata amavasya in that day having Shree Murughendra Swamiji Math festive.
Transportation
Shegunasi is connected to various places like Terdal, Harugeri, Kolligudd, Tammadaddi, Halingali the town has NWKRTC bus service. The nearest railway station is Kudachi railway station which is 14 km from the city and Terdal junction 37 km from Shegunasi. Belagavi and Kolhapur are the nearest airports. There are 24×7 buses for the cities Vijayapura and Belagavi.
There is a proposal for a new railway line between Bagalkot–Kudachi-Terdal to connect Bagalkot with Belagavi & Miraj. A survey of this 105.0-km new railway line is completed and submitted to South Western Railway Hubballi.
The village is well connected by roads. The one district road pass through the village,Four minor roads pass through the village.

Shegunasi has typical North Karnataka culture. Janapada (folk) songs and dances are found in villages surrounding Athani. The god of the town is the Kadasiddheshwar. The Kadasiddheshwar Temple and is prayed by the locals on Mondays every year in Shegunasi Devotional Kadasiddheshwar fair takes place. Sri MurughSendra Swamiji is a great saint lived in Virakt math in Shegunasi. He is shivasharna. He makes many pavadas to bless people he is one of great saint in Karnataka in his name there is Schools and Hostel in Terdal and Belagavi.
