The sheet phantom first appeared in White Dwarf #11 (February 1979). The sheet phantom and sheet ghoul appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).
The sheet phantom and sheet ghoul appeared in the second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Fiend Folio Appendix (1992).
The sheet phantom and sheet ghoul appeared in third edition in Dragon #276 (October 2000) in "Creature Codex: The Ecology of the Sheet Phantom".
Description
A sheet phantom is the undead manifestation of an evil person who died in bed, and is embodied in the bedsheets which covered the corpse.
