Shan Masood Khan (born 14 October 1989) is a cricketer who plays for Pakistan Cricket Team. He is a left hand batsman and occasionally bowls right arm medium-fast.

Background
He was born in 1989 in Kuwait, where his father worked in a bank. Following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and the start of the Gulf War, the family left for their native Pakistan.
Domestic career
In his first-class debut game in 2007, Masood scored 54 for Karachi putting together 154 for the opening wicket with Asad Shafiq. He also played three first-class games for Durham University, facing the likes of Liam Plunkett, Graham Onions and Ajmal Shehzad.
He now plays for Habib Bank Limited and was part of the winning side of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in 2011. He scored closed to a 1000 runs in last year’s domestic 4 day season and is already close to 700 runs with plenty of games to go.
Despite not averaging as high as some of the other top order prospects in the Pakistani first-class circuit, Shan has been given opportunities at the top level over the likes of Khurram Manzoor, Sami Aslam, Fawad Alam, Khalid Latiff, and Fakhar Zaman.
International career
Masood made 75 on his test debut against South Africa. He made his debut on his birth day. He then had a number of failures in his next 8 test innings including a controversial review decision. He scored his first century to get back into form against Sri Lanka and supported Younis Khan to carry Pakistan towards a 7 wicket win.
Masood bowled first time in test cricket on 23 July 2016 in a match against England at Old Trafford. His first ball in test cricket was a no ball.
