Shakr Media is an online platform that creates videos from pulling together available photos, video snippets, and news information available on the Internet. It uses an algorithm to pull in various related information which can then be edited by the end user who confirms the information is related. The user chooses the information that they want to use and is able to combine it into a single news story.

Shakr was founded by David Lee in 2010. It originally received $700,000 in Seed Funding, with another $3 million in funding coming in 2014 from investors POSCO Venture Capital matched by the government of South Korea.
